Chuckie Two Trades Fletcher

Created by: jwtemple3
Team: 2018-19 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 14, 2018
Published: Dec. 14, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Immediate fixes that could stabilize the Flyers for the time being. Moving players like Simmonds and Voracek would have to be done closer to the trade deadline if the team is still outside of a playoff spot. Simmonds and Voracek could recoup the picks and more lost in the Crawford/Muzzin trades.
Trades

Additional Details:
Conditional 2019 1st if the Flyers make the playoffs and Crawford starts in at least 20 games during the regular season

Have you seen Crawford this year? Plus he is 33 and has injury problems and you want to give up a potential lottery pick?

Oh so it's the team infront of him's fault but it's the Flyers goalies fault for the past however many years even though our D has been one of the worst in the league...got it!

It's a contributing factor for sure. He'd be an upgrade over every goalie we currently have in the organization. Odds are they'd still miss the playoffs in this scenario and get a two time Stanley Cup champion for at least another season to mentor Hart if they bring him up to back up Crawford the following year. All that at the cost of another team's 3rd round pick? I don't see how a GM would turn that down.

You don't entertain the idea of giving up a lotto pick, that's how! If it was for a 3rd then so be it but no chance we give up that 1st in any scenario!

Why would LA take Gudas and a 2nd for Muzzin? People are arguing over the goaltender while missing the much more ridiculous trade.

Is it really all that ridiculous? You seem to be under the impression that Gudas is awful which isn't the case.

Muzzin's on pace for his lowest point total since 13-14 but I think he'd make a great 2nd pair with Sanheim.

Yes, you're right. No sarcasm. PHI's defense made it to the eastern conference finals! Who changed from last year? Let's put it this way...The hawks are playing Brandon Manning ALOT. 27 games so far. He's not a healthy scratch. He's part of the contributors. Even when you watch the broadcasts...Eddie O just feels bad for Keith. Keith has to play with a young guy like Forsling....who's a LD, but playing RD to get more ice time. It's just a mess on defense for CHI.

None of the Flyers' goalies in the past 10 years have been as good as Crawford. He's a Vezina goalie with a competent D in front of him. You're delusional.

Everything you are saying is the FLyers to a T and has been for awhile now. Manning played 65 games last year for the Flyers.

And what has he done recently? Just because a guy was good, doesn't mean he is good now! Or screw it, let's sign Patrick Roy because he has won Cups and Vezina's!

YUP! and made it to the eastern conference finals. Prov and Ghost are great! You're forgetting about the results which matter. Just get an average goalie...you're back to last year. Got a Real Goalie...with playoff winning experience??? Game changer.

He was a .929 goalie last season until he got hurt? His stats are only garbage this year because we have a terrible D corps and a first year coach. Philly should be doing everything they can to trade for Crow. I'm not saying he's worth a first rounder and a stud prospect but he's a massive upgrade from what you have now. There's no reason the Flyers shouldn't be a playoff team, way too much talent.

How is the FLyers D any better this year? How would Crawford be helped at all?

So he got injured once in his career. ok. Varly too! You shouldn't sign Varly then. Crow wouldn't be playing...taking pucks to the head! if there was a legit concern. The Hawks deliberately took their time because that's what they do. The Hawks were the VERY first team in the NHL to bring team doctors on the road. Now every team does it. The Hawks don't mess around with player safety. AND PHI will take him through the ringer during the physical. 33...with 1.5 years. then it's time for HART. Crow's the PERFECT situation for PHI. He just may cost too much...which I would understand too.

Why do you need the D to be immensely better when they made it to the eastern conference finals last year? It's not as if they we're lighting the lamp an insane amount. They were an average offensive team.

Are you under the impression that the Flyers got out of the 1st round last year? You need to do more research.

Stop It. It's his 2nd career injury. He had 1 range against the machine concert mishap. but that's it. Nothing else of significance. Anyone can get hit in the head at any time.
