I like Petro at 6.5m x 2 more years more than Jake at 8.25m x 6 more years. And I think I like Kyrou more than Sanheim but that's probably just the homer in me.

I think trading Pietrangelo only works if you're doing it for someone younger, or a package of futures.

And Flyers would prefer the players in Flyers package going to STL. Thats always like that. Everybody is a homer. I think if STL would get their hands on Voracek who is under 30yrs old and players like him are aging slowly he could easily and most likely be top-6 playmaker for all of those 8yrs. He is almost point per game on team that is bad offensively, Voras in STL could do wonders imo. I get the Pietrangelo point that if they sell him than rather for package of futures or guy like Nylander (which was reportedly a trade almost made during whole Nylander signing saga).

I dunno, I feel like Voracek is getting run out of town these days. He puts up big numbers but he's just going through the motions instead of playing defense / working hard. I guess you could say the same thing about Pietrangelo (more about his leadership/off-ice stuff), so maybe it's a good premise. I just don't see it as the answer. Would rather try to add some speed/youth to the lineup and make room to bring up some of the prospects instead of add a long contract that will only look worse with time.

I have no idea why Flyers fans keep wanting Jake out. You don't trade that kind of skill just for the sake of making a deal.

both teams probably say no but it's pretty even deal.
