I mean, I don't think the Dollar amount is bad or anything, but I generally don't think giving bottom of the lineup guys term is a good idea. That's where you want to have the most flexibility.

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter, but I disagree on principle.

You took the words right out of my mouth, I think the value is great for right now. However when the contract ends if my math is right he’ll be 33 years old. I would’ve been fine if they give him 2 million but if it was for only a 1 year extension.

Doug Armstrong seems to enjoy a high level of job-certainty in STL these days...I'm really not sure why. He needs to address the major issue in net and then find some depth at Forward. Their lineup is actually pretty thin top to bottom. And remember when Tarasenko was one of the elite Wingers in the league? It was a long time ago HAHAHA! He averaged 37.25G per season from 2014-15 through 2017-18. He's been invisible for a good part of this season.

The 1.375m per year contract kinda allows him to be demoted at sometime during the contract without any hardly any cap implications. So the contract is OK for a 5/6/7 even a 8th Dman.

No issues with either the term or dollar value. If they aren't happy with it in year 2, 3, or 4 they can bury him in the minors for a minimal cap hit of a few hundred thousand. If he gets claimed on his way down then they are free of the contract. This will also satisfy the exposed player criteria for the upcoming expansion draft in a few years. I con't really see much downside here.

Jim Rutherford should take notes; this is how you should pay bottom-pairing defensemen.

Are you going to just **** about holding a grudge over 3 months ago like a child, or are you going to shut up? This can go 1 of 2 ways either you leave me along or you go on my ignore list.

Sweetie, Sens did the similar thing a couple years ago and were a dumpster fire the year after, big woop they are on a streak. You still know jack ****. Don't see Jake Allen in net during this. After a coach firing too, LOL

Yeah, we had our stuff along the way, and 2 Allen has 40-44 in Nashville then 32-32 in Colorado. Talk about a guy who knows jack sh*t is when you a Toronto Maple Lefts fan can't beat us this entire season. Back your trash talk up before you come to me about something. 11 Games in a row. Yeo got fired because the guys in the locker room didn't like him. 1 Thing I don't understand how do you like hockey when you were too fat to play hockey yourself? You just sit on the couch munching on some chips because you have no life. Yeah gtfo. You are borderline casual fan, and not a NHL fan.

LOL take some anger management classes. Or punch your bedroom walls idk. Fluke streat, they can easily lose 5-6 in a row and be back to where they would be, without the streak they are a .500 team. HAHA

Toronto is more of the fluke, than St.Louis is just another team to make playoffs and lose in the first round. If you can't back up trash talk with your own team, why even bother trying to trash talk the Blues bud?

Can't find you anywhere else, but what a turn around, surprising. What happens when you run with a hot goalie. I'd be a little worried signing binnington for more than 3 years at any dollar figure but do whatever it takes to take boston out please.

Whatever they pay Binnington is going to be an overpayment. I honestly don't know how he is playing so good, he lets out bad rebounds, can't cover up the pucks, not in position most of the time. Whatever it takes though right?
