Flyers Fix this team

Created by: HarterCart79
Team: 2018-19 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 18, 2018
Published: Dec. 18, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Here is what I think could be a realistic scenario playing out over the rest of this year with Chuck Fletcher looking to make some moves, and the team desperately needing a shakeup. The UFA players have got to go, and getting back players in return that can help now and in the future is going to be tough, but I hope it can be done.
Trades
1.
TOR
  1. Simmonds, Wayne
  2. Twarynski, Carsen
Additional Details:
Toronto is not going to be able to afford to keep all of their young players. Twarynski is a B level prospect, and Simmonds brings experience and the PF presence to a skilled lineup that could use some grit for a Cup run this season.
2.
PHI
  1. Anderson, Craig
  2. Stone, Mark
Additional Details:
Both are UFA's, Stone I definitely think is going to walk if they don't move him. Getting in return a goalie prospect, good forward prospect, and a guy who can slot in their lineup now in Weal
3.
PHI
  1. Parayko, Colton
  2. Tarasenko, Vladimir
Additional Details:
Both are rumored to be available. This move is a shake-up for both teams with pretty solid NHL talent going both ways, with STL getting a little more return from PHI because I value the Parayko/Tank duo as a bit better than Jake and Ghost. Ghost does have a very favorable contract for the value he can provide.
4.
NSH
  1. Kase, David
  2. Raffl, Michael
  3. 2019 3rd round pick (NJD)
Additional Details:
Valuable depth player in Raffl, pretty defensively responsible to help NSH on a Cup run. Fiala is maybe going to be tough for them to resign and is a guy who could use a change of scenery.
5.
CAR
  1. Aubé-Kubel, Nicolas
  2. Hägg, Robert
  3. Lindblom, Oskar
Additional Details:
word is CAR is willing to part with D for offense. Lindblom and NAK could be young forward pieces to help fix that
6.
PHI
  1. 2020 3rd round pick (WPG)

Couple of things:

1. I do like Pesce but that is definitely an overpayment. Lindblom has been great, just our former coach gave him 5 minutes a night for no apparent reason.

2. I would not do the St. Louis trade. It might be bias, because Gostisbehere might by my favorite Flyer, but I still do feel that it is an overpayment.

3. On the other hand, I highly doubt that Ottawa wouldn't ask for more for Stone and Anderson. Stone is one of the best wingers in hockey, and though I realize that he is a UFA after this season, they still would get more for him alone at the deadline.

4. I am not sure if Toronto would do that trade, but I'd love to have Kapanen. Same goes for the Nashville trade.
