Description
We don't need to make any big moves, the teams playing well and it's showing on the standings. Only trade I've made is Hudon for Fleury. Re-unite the brothers and Car get some depth scoring and a future solid top 9 fwd. We all know Car is deep on D and can offload one of those D men. We also know that MTL has an issue at LHD and thats exactly what Fluery is. U can make this trade at the draft as both are pending RFAs, u could even do it at the TDL. As for Gardiner, I believe he looks for a deal similar to Yandle, I also think he'll sign with either MTL or Van.
I also can't see us offloading guys like Tatar and Petry, we shouldn't, atleast not rn. U can do that at the 2020 tdl or the 2020. Stick with what's working rn. Thoughts?
EDIT: You can always add a few depth picks like a 4th or something to even out the trade. A 4th coming from MTL ofc.

I agree with this. Although I do think if Petry continues this pace for the season the time to move him will be the draft in June. RHD who can put up 40 points a year and play 20 minutes will be a highly sought after commodity and Montreal needs to sell high.

You can totally afford it, so I’d add a third or fourth to the Carolina deal to sweeten things up as they drafted Fleury pretty high, and they think highly of him. Hudon and a third gets it done. It does go without saying that there are a ton of prospects that will be trying to make the team. Evans, Suzuki, Poehling, Fleury, Brook, Ylonen, and Ikonen. Training camp and the preseason should redefine the bottom line at least.

I was focusing more on the trade but I agree, u can always put Shaw on the 4th line and have Suzuki with Drouin and Domi. I've got no problem with trading the rights for Armia to give Poehling or Evans a slot either. Delauriaus and Peca can be replaced too. The options are there

Absolutely. Montreal has developed a decent prospect pool, and now they get to reap the benefits. Drouin-Domi-Suzuki, Tatar-Danault-Gallagher, Lehkonen-Kotkaniemi-Evans, and Byron-Shaw-Armia as your lines next year is insanely deep. That is four line of players who all have the ability to hit 40 points. A bounce back season from Price and you have a playoff lock, and possibly a cup contender.
