Your only problem is that the Jets will say no, Leafs are in no position to ask for anything as they are the ones with cap issues. Also the Jets have their own issues. Need to find a team with lots of cap and either take their best offer or hope someone does an offer sheet. Other than that Leafs are paying him 9-10 mil per year or he’ll sit just like Nylander did until you do and if you wait that long his value will decrease

First off scheifele is only putting up high points because of the line he plays on with wheeler and connor. Trouba doesnt like playing in winnipeg so he wants to leave.

I am not saying wheeler is not good, but it is like makinnon (scheifele) and rantannen (wheeler). No one is debating who is better. And Connor first of all is only p/gm with those two (currently he is on the second line). Heck i would not even make that trade for Matthews.

Trouba might want out od Winnipeg but from understanding he want to play in the US and Toronto is not in the US. Why in the hell does Marleau wave his NTC for Winnepeg when he has the same or better shot in Toronto?

Winnepeg has cap issues of their own and taking on a 9 million dollar contract and losing a good young player on a great contract, a stud defenseman and a promising prospect for Marner and his new cap number which could be 9 to 10 million Marleeau and his 6 million plus contract and a low 1st round pick does nothing ro help the Jets. This is just a Toronto fan dream.

It's known that Trouba wants to go play in the states if he manages to get out of Winnipeg, so no that doesn't mean Toronto is any more appealing.
