Description
Haven't thoroughly mapped it out, but doing to do next two years based on these moves

Blues take on the Pomminville contract since it ends this year and frees up 7.5 the next 4
Is UPL + Nylander too much? Maybe Bailey instead? Swap out one of them for a 2nd and it'd be ~ the ROR deal, which I'm not sure is enough for Tarasenko
Picking up Coyle moves 37 out of those tough minutes for the next 2 years while Asplund develops. Like this option over Hayes if he costs > a 2nd
Signing Nash was just for fun (why I left him out of the lineup), 2 years to bring the cap hit down with the intention of a buyout

Five stars for signing Nash. I can only dream of a 2nd line of Nash, Coyle, Tarasenko. Just rearrange the players for better lines. I am sure Okposo would be in the line up before Thompson. I really like your moves especially if SLB would accept that trade.

They'll be rolling 3 lines and I wanted to put a stud next to 37. 5v5 ice time won't be much different, and Coyle would be playing the 3rd line center shutdown role in this scenario. Good call though, the lines are a little out of whack. Updated them

Nash was for fun, left him there to see what lines would look like if you didn't sign him

Not sure if that's too much/not enough for that trade.. tried to guage his value over RORs

yeah everyones ready to replace 37 as the second line C, i dont think we need another C we need better wingers to play with Casey. He is skilled af just needs more talent to play with, IMO sheary and okposo are probably 3rd line wingers on a good team.

Well put. Not sure if you saw in the description, I like the Coyle deal to take some tough minutes off 37, not necessarily take his place. Asplund will hopefully be ready for that 3rd line role when Coyles contract is up and bump 37 into that high end 2C role. Skinner/Eichel, 37/Tarasenko for 5 years Heart Eyes

Pommer may be on the shelf for a while, so his cap shouldnt be a factor. I stlll think the Blues don't even consider that. Tarasenko is on a great contract for a decent length, i think the trade talk is just to see what they can get for him. Nash was too slow for the league, that's why he doesnt have a contract. RA thinking hes already got his retirement papers ready too. He wouldn't fit with this team. I like Coyle but Minnesota has 0 need for a LHD
