Why would the Leafs make either of these trades? Your essentially giving up two first round picks for a rental in Simmonds and a better Polak in Gudas. Plus, haven't people realized that Pesce's value is no where close to Nylander?

Dubas has said numerous times he's not selling the future for trying to win it in one year

Simmons is a different player than Kapanen but don't think Simmons is better. Four years of Simmons seems like a big dwindling asset for any team. Gudbas is a third pairing Dman for the Flyers, He's different than the guy he would replace, Ozhigakov but is he any better?
Your trade of Nylander has lots of Leafs fans saying "no". To me it's a real possibility.
