I like these moves but not the biggest fan of the Koskinen Signing. He will be 31 when he signs that contract and you will be paying him 4.5 Per until he is 36. He’s a really good goalie but what if he declines two years from now? You are going to have a really expensive backup

Would u consider Ryan miller as a backup goalie. Also good starting goalie but too many years for me. Try 2 or 3

Agreed, 2 years would be ideal but not sure if he would take that.

As for chassion who knows what he’s going to be asking for, he’s on pace for 25-30 goals but came in on a PTO so who knows

I could be totally out of touch with stone to, not really sure what he’s worth/asking for. A number 1 dman would be nice but I just don’t think it’s realistic for a few more seasons unless we’re trading a package of forwards and a dman the other way, and get a steal or two in the draft.

Stone ur close on. Ryan Miller as a backup? Alex chaisson I think u paid fairly and right amount of years because after 2 years if he’s still playing well u can give him more. Stone I’d pay I bit more around 8M to 8.5M but no more than that

Ive always liked miller, but two things with him, 1. He’s 38 so not really sure what’s left in the tank. 2. I can’t see I’m leaving California to come to Edmonton.

Signing Stone would be a mistake. I don’t think his slower style of game would fit well with McDavid.

You can’t buyout Lucic. The cap penalty is way too high. In a time where cap space is so important you can’t be eating so much on nothing. Yes Lucic should not be in the NHL, but the Oilers are stuck with him. Our best bet is in 2 years with the CBA expiring, we get more of those free compliance buyouts.
