Description

These are two players that either Ken Holland or fans have talked about trading. For both trades I don't necessarily think this is the value of the players, more so i think that the teams they are getting traded too would be desperate at the deadline to push for a playoff spot(based on current rankings)

For Jimmy Howard, Ken Holland has said that he would want a 1st for Howard. I personally believe that if a 1st is involved in the trade it will have a condition attached to it. At the moment NYI are the the best eastern team not in the playoffs(based on standings) and they have 2 mediocre goalies.

With Nyquist, he has a NTC so he would only waive it to play with a team that could contend/play on a great line, and it is no secret that Edmonton needs wingers to play with Mcdavid (or Draisaitl). Nyquist has also been having his best year since he stepped up to be the red wings top player in 2013-14 when zetterberg and datsyuk spent most the the season injured.
(I also want this trade to happen cause nyquist is on my fantasy team)

Did you think Tatar would get a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Also if you read the description these are trades based on how much desperate teams are willing to pay not what each player is actually worth

The Wings front office and ownership really like Howard. So I don't see him being traded to a team that has a chance to miss the playoffs. I do agree that teams get desperate but the question is Does Holland have the patients to wait for it?

Ok but Howard will not be traded to a team not going to the playoffs
