Pens didn't want bonino at $4 million so they def don't want anisimov at his cap hit. Brass has the most value in this trade here and somehow the pens are still overpaying with two early round picks?

1. No picks need to be sent to Chicago
2. Please keep Gus
3. If brassard came to Chicago he would not play 3rd line

A player with 9 pts may have had more value in the offseason but not now Brassard has been awful his entire time with Pit.

Also get that Jack Johnson deal away its a 2 million cap penalty for 4 more years

Pens fans and Brassard as weird, one guy was trying to argue with me that he would be 1C on multiple teams even this season. He's been terrible but the excuse of "he has bad linemates and not a Top 6 role" even through he has almost Top 6 5v5 minutes TOI despite missing multiple games this year.. Hes bad and played in a Top 6 role yet Pens fans think teams will trade picks and assets that Stastny got last year and Hayes will get his year

This trade is terrible. Pens keep their picks and Chicago gives us 3 first rounders for taking on the pile of garbage you’re sending back ?

I do think Gus could be a useful piece in PIT. Gus plays that offensive Dman role that PIT utilizes a bunch.

You're 100% right here. Brassard has been TERRIBLE since joining PIT. I think they should trade him regardless of their playoff position because they're about to lose him for nothing. Send him to another playoff team and get something...anything...back. It's more than watching him walk away. AND...PIT would be a better team without Brassard. It's addition by subtraction. Brassard needs a change of scenery.

Krüger doesn’t play defense for Pittsburgh and isn’t signed for 4 more years.
So again, sending us a bum at a high cap hit, a 3 C at best, and a 6/7 Dman for a center that would be your 2 C and is a top 6 Forward on most teams, and a defenseman who when paired with Petterson had gone from -13 to -7 in 7 games and finally playing well. Then to retain on top of that for 4.5 years. Yeah. Chicago would have to send at minimum 2 1sts if not more for that.

Lol @ you trying to prop up Johnson. Calling Gustafson a 6/7 D does that make JJ a #12 D then since he is miles worse?

Brassard has one year left and has been awful and has injury issues at this point his value has tanked since when the trade was initially made.

Chicago doesn’t send 2 firsts for Pits disappointments lol Jack Johnson can remain Pit’s mistake

Don’t have to prop up JJ, he’s finally found a d partner he works competently with. Why would the pens pay to give him up and retain when they can just continue to let him be competent with Petterson. And Chicago’s pile of garbage can remain their mistake.

Kruger is off the books this season

Gustafsson is a better Dman than Jack Johnson ever was and isnt on a god awful contract

Anisimov has out preformed Brassard

Krüger is still awful with almost the same cap hit as Brassard. Brassard has out performed him, Gustafsson is still only a 6/7 D that might not fit in with the pens (why take the risk when JJ is finally starting to fit, not to mention retain for 4.5 years on JJ.) Anisimov still has a 4.5 million cap hit for 2 more years after this. Brass comes off the books this year. We don’t need long term big cap hits for meh players. Pens still have to sign Guentzel + others this off season.
