To retain salary in a trade you click on the plus symbol beside the players name once it’s in the receiving/sending boxes, and enter the amount in the add retained salary box that will come up.

I don't think Toronto would give that much up. Look at the Karlsson trade, the Skinner trade and all that, top prospects don't get moved as much, especially not with a top prospect in the NHL now. I'm sure that is the return STL would like to see, but I am not convinced that is what they would get. Will have to wait and see who pulls the trigger on what I guess.

Short changing some players and trading necessary players just to fit in Gardiner and Pietrangelo. Two players past their past peak or soon will be.

I prefer to call it the famous home town discount. I don’t like Gardner, was trying to see if it could be possible.
