Not a bad trade but I think you should add a Parayko to a different team trade in here. Unless this is an off-season trade, STL doesn’t really need an extra D. Other than that one of the better value for value trades on here.

I don’t like it. Heinen is a third-liner, Senyshyn might never be an NHLer and Krug doesn’t help us in the slightest. He’s a great player, but he’s not a top-pair guy and we’ve already got Dunn and Perubovich is potential pp quarterbacks. IMO, Debrusk would need to be included.

As a Bruins fan I would take this in a heartbeat. Tarasenko is worth a lot more.

Krug would fit nicely on the left side when Bouwmeester and Gunnarsson leave next year. Heinen adds depth and picks and prospects never hurt. Krug puts up points and having him on a pair with petro or parayko woud be lethal. Moving Tarasenko is a hard thing to do, but this kind of return the Blues could not turn down

I'd imagine STL would out of the gate want something around DeBrusk & Carlo. For Bruins fans just ask yourself what you'd want for Pastrnak. I know the age is different, but production wise they are both elite RWer's with around the same hit.

I think this trade is fair. Krug is really good. Tarasenko is not living up to the expectations so I think the sooner we trade him, the better, unless he starts to bounce back

Pastrnak > Tarasenko. But I know what you are saying. Theoretically, Pastrnak to the blues would probably cost Parayko, Kyrou, Kostin a 1st and a 2nd. That being said, the Bruins would never trade him

Maybe. But while Krug is dangerous on the PP, he is not always very sound defensively. Heinen had an excellent rookie year but has since slumped hard. Senyshyn has not even played an NHL game yet. It may not be by a huge margin, but I think Boston wins this trade.

Krug is probably an elite #4 defenseman and a specialist. He’s a great player, but he really doesn’t bring a lot to the Blues. It’s not like we’re a better power-play away from contending. The value isn’t atrocious, but you’ve got to get an elite prospect or young player to base a Tarasenko trade on.

Both at the same age, yes. Imagine Senko if he played with a could all-world players like Marchand and Bergeron

Blues struggle with defensive play. Adding another less the stellar (defensively) defenseman won't help the Blues.

I agree with this. Debrusk + Carlo is what I had in my last AGM.

A common misconception is that Krug is not defensively sound. If you watch Krug, he actually has pretty fair awareness in his own end and even though he does get caught every now and then, so do even the best D-men in the NHL. I think its the fact he's labeled as an offensive defenseman that makes people automatically think he can't play in his own end.

Would I say he's a great player in his own end? Probably not, but he's not a player who you're ever worried about holding their own in their end so I think it's a bit unfair to consider him a liability on defense.

yup you got to give to get. It's that simple. Way to many trades on here people want to package up scraps players they want to dump etc for other teams best players.

Agreed. I didn't mean to imply Krug is a defensive liability, rather he shouldn't be played as a top pairing d-man.
