Why would the sabres do that right now? Two injured players and a second for a top 4 dmen on a team friendly contract? Nah.

Assuming all are healthy. Martinez is top 4 dmsn under contract with playoff experience, Haglin is a bonus for the playoffs. McCabe will get a raise next year, maybe Buf can't afford.

Sabres pass. Everyone knows McCabes value finally. He's been the most under rated Sabre, and is a complete Dman. Buffalo can easily afford to keep McCabe, they are going to have a lot of cap room this offseason. This isn't close to his value and teams aren't going to poach him for cheap.

Five stars for the Buffalo trade.
I liked McCabe the first time a saw him play. That 2nd could be 32nd. Martinez is a drop from McCabe but not huge and Hagelin could be a solid bottom 6. Let's make a deal!! cheers
