How do you pay debrincat and strome after those signings?

No need for Stone and Panarin. Need to leave cap to sign cat, strome, and all the defenceman coming up. I would prefer to have panarin but thats just me. Also, at the way we're playing we might fall out of the top 5 and lose out on Kakko

Carolina moved up to the second overall from outside the top ten. I won’t doubt anything.

My simple answer to the cap problem is move Saad, Anisimov, and Murphy before we need to sign those guys and let the prospects play. Barratt takes Saad’s place, Kurashev takes Anisimov’s place, and Boqvist Slots into the top 2 bumping Murphy out.

Plus the rise in cap and Seattle expansion draft will be coming up eventually.

Before I saw this, I was looking at the Blackhawks roster to see if there was any way they could possibly fit Panarin and Stone under the cap because they are the perfect missing pieces to right wing on the Toews line and the left wing on Kane line. It's true that Saad and Anisimov could be exposed in the expansion draft. I don't see Boqvist as a replacement for Murphy. Murphy is actually kind of a younger version of Seabrook and you need those bigger, slapper from the point D guys that play heavy to play on pairing with a Keith or Boqvist. You can't have a defense made up of young offensive minded defenders. They need some a heavy or two and Seabrook is likely a 3rd pair defenseman from here on out so it won't be him in the top 4.
