Habs said = You want my first draft pick? You give me Dylan Larkin!

That's it or nothing.

Montreal says no. We aren't trying to win now, trading our 1st would make no sense.

I could see Nyquist having a 1st round value, but from a team that needs to win now (Nashville, SJS come to mind), which would make it a bottom of the 1st pick. Montreal, if they make the playoffs, would be a mid-1st pick, which isn't value.

For the Kronwall trade, I think that type of value is the only way Kenny asks him if its ok to trade him (I know he doesn't have an NTC, but he's going to get the right to refuse). NSH isn't the team to do it though. TOR, PIT, WSH I would think would be teams to consider that.

I think Jimmy gets traded for a 2nd round pick, but from a team that needs goaltending. Is TOR really worried about Andersen? Is TBL worried about Vas? Again, teams that are going for it (no team is going to trade for a goalie just to make the playoffs). SJS and CAL are the 2 teams with below par save percentages (.891 for SJS, CAL is tied with DET with .903).
