Can I trade Dunn, Steen and Husso for Malkin?

you high

Not that this trade is likely. Not much there but your constant absurd way off values would get you nothing in the real world. A 6.5 mil cap hit and only 1 year left on that deal gets you no where near that.

No Way bud. We are not the ones that need to make a trade. The BLUES are.

I don't smoke weed so not high but realistically the team that needs to trade for an asset is the Blues and not the Penguins so St Louis needs to sing before we do.

The BLUES need "Parts" that work and in order to do that they must give up some parts that still have something left in the tank. Going to have to make the change at some point and landing a Goalie of the future would be very smart without having to give up any more assets (draft picks or round studs). The Blues cannot wait on a goalie to develop at this point or else their team will stay at the bottom of the NHL for many years to come. A.P. has a big name and yes he is good but he is 2 years old in a league that when you hit 30 your value drops immensely. Tough move but they will have to make one sooner rather than later.

Nice try bud on the humor but the only thing is that A.P. is NO Malkin. Plus the Blues don't have a good record AT ALL. Plus the Blues have terrible goaltending plus no young future goalie prospects plus the forwards don't look all that good either so you can keep A.P. but it does nothing to make a difference to the team and the team definitely needs to make a defining move for the future.

Dude, Ryan McDonough who is not as good as Pietrangelo was in the exact same situation last year and got an arguably better return. And let’s not act like a 6.5 million cap hit is bad for a legit #1 defenseman.

I dont know where to start. maybe with Jarry not convincing anyone that hes a starter. Or maybe when y'all gave up more for Derick Brassard last year in a similar situation... look at what McDonagh got from TBL and then factor in that Pietro > McDonagh and NYR said publicly that they were trading him whereas STL has issues but haven't triggered a fire sale. And for the millionth time, a guy turning 29 is not useless. Pittsburgh fans of all people should understand this...

Yes and GM's are learning that Big Old Names of players like McDonaugh aren't worth giving up the whole farm over. A.P. is good but he's not top tier.

Yes, we gave up WAY TOO MUCH to get Brassard last year but hopefully Jimmy R learned his lesson that you don't need to sell the farm for an older named "big deal" player which Brassard is obviously not.

dude you are trying to trade a team with 8 legit NHL caliber defenseman and is cap strapped and you think you are going to get that return from them and that a 6.5 million cap hit is ok? Are you kidding me?

If the Penguins don’t have a need than that’s one thing, but I’d expect Pietrangelo to get a similar return to what I mentioned. Maybe the Blues take on cap or retain to make it work as well.
