I hate having to trade Tarasenko, but I believe that we need to acquire a top LHD and Petro won't be able to garner that return. Through these trades, our core has shifted younger and a reliance on our top 4 D. Ideally, we could trade Allen and acquire a goalie that we can consistently rely on, but for now he will do

WPG passes. Easy to dump 1 yr of Kulikov than it is 2 years of steen-even if he is a hometown boy

With retained money, Steen has some value.

He's not really showing the expected decline in production for his age and he's always been known for his defensive play.

P/60 last four seasons at 5v5: 1.51 -> 1.57 -> 1.39 -> 1.52

I know it doesn't make the most sense for WPG to add a forward when they'll probably have to rid themselves of someone like Perreault if they don't add anyone. WPG is just the easiest place for us Blues fans to speculate where he would go since he has a NTC (that he has apparently used in the past) and connections to the Peg.

You could get more for Tarasenko and Dunn. The difference between those and Werenski is greater than just a first round pick.
