You can probably easily get more for Schlemko, he's still a reliable defensive dman that can play top 6 minutes. probably up that to a 4th and a mid tier prospect at best. Winnipeg deal makes some sense, not sure Benn is worth a 2nd but with Winnipeg's impending cap situation you might be able to squeeze out a 2nd to take on Kulikov's contract, but might be more realistic to get a 3rd and a prospect with him instead. Pittsburgh deal makes some sense too, might not include Brassard at all and let Pittsburgh deal him somewhere else. But Matta and a late 1st seem reasonable, maybe a 2nd instead. But overall, your value is close and you have the right idea

Montreal got Armia, a 4th round pick & a 7th round pick to buyout Mason 4.1M. They are getting a good D for a playoff run & getting rid of Kulikov contract. I’m sure they will accept. Montreal will not accept Maata & a late 1st round for Danault. Nobody can play the role he is playing right now. That’s why we need a 3C. Schlemko he’s not worth a 4th sorry. Not even a 5th

Maata for Danault 1 on 1 impossible Montreal accepts. So far off, Maata’s not that good.

fair enough, then its not a match and theres not a trade to be had here. im just telling you this trade is VERY unfavorable to pittsburgh.

What about Brassard & 2019 2rd pick, if Brassard do not resign with MTL, MTL got 2020 1st round pick instead of the 2019 2rd pick

Bergevin will never accept that but if I was him I’ll do it. Maybe a B prospect and he might consider it. Nice talk man !

No way Pittsburgh accepts that trade. Danault is good but that’s 3 pieces for a 3C. I’d rather have brassard than danault anyway if brassard had term

Lmao definitely not. Maatta is a lot better than people give him credit. Maybe one day mete will be better but not yet

No. Danault is very Crucial to this team. When we get a replacement, he can become expendable (Poehling in a year or two most likely). Unless it's a serious overpay, Danault should stay.

There is no way the Pens would accept that, it's just as bad maybe worse. Rust is a top 6 forward. Maatta has played well as a 2nd pairing guy.

I don't see the penguins giving up a 1st. I know they are in win now mode, but they could be there for another 3 years and they need young cheap depth down the road.
It's much more likely they trade out a few pieces and some depth at defense.
I also think the major piece they are looking to fill is LW. I would be nice to get a 3C for the future, but you might have to wait till after this year to make that trade.

honestly yes, Rust has more value to us than brassard and has several years of being a top 6 forward for us ahead of him, out of all the players listed in either of those trades he'd be the best one leaving our team. Brass isnt coming back next year pretty much no matter what we do. sheahan I dont care about. Losing Maatta hurts us a lot in both trades. No way pittsburgh feels inclined to send more than just maatta and maybe a 2nd or third. and no way do we trade 3 starting players for 1 when depth wins cups and depth has been our biggest issue

I never said I would accept either of those. I think they are both over payments.
