I think for Simmonds its a 1st and 3rd, pretty good trade.

Being picky, next year I'd say 2 or 3 of Frost, Farabee, Radcliffe, Rubotsov, Laberge, Myers, Carsen Twarzyinski, Allison would be up. That's why if the Flyers are going to tank and get Hughes, they would have an immense logjam with higher end prospects.

Maybe the Flyers get a 1st, a 3rd and suffering from concussion syndrome Stephen Johns?

And it goes without saying that Weal, Raffl etc... will probably get moved too

Why would Montreal trade for Neuvirth? If anything, Niemi is trading away from Montreal and Lindgren is called up.

Idk man... Philly has been pretty dreadful lately but somehow OTT is still worse. Colorado is going to end up with Jack Hughes and it's going to blow my freaking mind how good that Duchene trade will end up being.

If they do trade one of the prospects, id say its in a package that goes with voracek or something like that. Just note that this is before FA so Raffl and Weal are both gone.

A deadline trade. Niemi is dog, they trade for assurance for the playoffs. You know Bergevin would do it too lol

Colorado would end up with arguably having pulled off the best trade ever.

This is basically my same hopeful lineup for next year Getting Hughes would be huge and help close the gap of difference between the core of Voracek/Giroux and the rebuild. I would be extremely happy with Hughes, Kakko or Podkozlin which I think all 3 would be ready for the NHL next year. Trade Simmondsand get at least a 1st to stockpile prospects pool. I think you move Patrick back to 3C and let him develop, add Frost and maybe even Farabee (prob not ready) to the top 9. Rubstov/Vorobye/NAK to bottom 3. Bring up Myers and maybe try and bring in another top 6RHD if possible i.e. Touba, Pietrangelo, or Parayko) that is wishful thinking though

Bergevin said yesterday he is focusing on the future and not giving up picks or prospects for win-now pieces.
High chance Niemi is shipped and we call up Lindgren to finish out the year here. Us acquiring another goalie makes no sense unless Bergevin isn't convinced Mcniven is good enough for the starter position in Laval.
