i dont think the dallas trade works. Dallas wouldn't actively be buying if they may move benn/seguin, and they'd want to re-sign him. A 1st and 2nd for that is waaay too much for Krug. Vanek has been extremely underwhelming in detriot this season, so i think thats a fine trade. You'd need to add a 2nd in the NYR trade imo

Giving up way too much for Hayes and McQuaid. Frederic is one of the team's top prospects. Bjork has the talent, he's just been snakebitten by injury since turning pro. and Zboril (despite not looking amazing) is a former 1st rounder. Giving them up for 2 impending UFAs is too much.

sooooo you're making a big splash for a rental....then you're trading a productive player for futures? This is a very confused ACGM. Throwing in an extra star for getting value from Krug, as I fear they won't.

Yeah - I don't see (or want to) the Bruins rolling Grzelyk and Krug in the playoffs. Although Krug is exponentially better offensively the same can be said for Grzelyk's D. Also needed to clear some space after bringing in Hayes and Vanek.

I don't necessarily disagree - And not that they should give guys away, but I don't see how Bjork (OR ZBORIL) fits in. Especially if Studnicka, Frederic, Lauko step up next year, so I believe they could lose him in expansion anyway... I do agree with @ON3M4N - I really don't want any part to do with Hayes, but prices are generally high this time of year. Yes, it's an overpay. I would rather Schenn, but I wanted McQuaid back. They are lacking toughness and he is good locker room guy.

I think if either is moved they move them for players that can help now, not a rebuild. Dallas is currently in the 6th spot in the West. IF they move Benn or Seguin I would see it for a Kopitar/Tarasenko/Toews/Giroux type - Not that any of those are available, but someone who is in the same ballpark skill and value wise, so that the team would still be competitive.

So I think Dallas will be looking to add regardless.
