of all the years to have a 1st overall 2020 is the weakest .

Lafreniere is not going to be able to jump straight to the NHL for the first time since 2012.
2012 was when Nail Yakupuv was drafted a number 1 pick and was sent to be developed ( its stupid to target him just because he's french )

i like the Jost Trade though was it allows us to consider moving Tatar and Gallagher while we continue to build a youth core such as Domi ,Drouin,Kotkanemi,Lehkonen and soon to be Poehling . Jost not only fits our system but would play a major role in filling Gallaghers shoe's as Jost plays a similar style with a lot of heart . However i dont see COL acquiring RD given they have to make room for Timmons and Makar to the extent their GM is on year 2 of actively Shopping Barrie . COL would demand a Gallagher for this deal to work as he suits their current needs .

Lafreniere is very good, he’s compared to crosby when he was younger. He played in the wjc at only 17 years old and dominate the QMJHL at 16 and 17 years old. Also, there is rumors that mtl will do whatever they can to acquire im

I like jost even if he don’t put up that much points, I think a new team will help im, I can see tatar over gallagher being trade cause gallagher is a fan favorite in mtl and is younger than tatar. It will take more than jost to trade for gallagher but I like Girard or maybe some first rounders

So technically 2 1st and a 3rd for Petry, No way his value is that high. And i don't see Petry going to Colorado.

Petry is having another fabulous season, His numbers are really good this year. So we shall see Hab fans are pretty much telling me that Petry is pretty much gone. Wouldn't mind him coming home to Detroit if he were a little bit younger.

Yeah Ik, but i doubt they will take petry cause mtl wants young player and detroit is into a rebuilding, maybe anthanasiou and a lhd prospect, but i don’t think that will happen

yeah i dont see COL giving up Sammy but Zadorov i could see them moving and he's a fighter as well as a top 4 LD exactly what MTL needs . put him on 2nd with Petry and let the kids alternate between skating with Juulsen and Weber . i'd trade Gallagher for Zadorov , 1st and a 2nd as he's good but he's not a top shelf #1 LD prospect like Girard . with Romanov coming up soon i like the idea of Romanov-Weber,Zadorov -Petry ,Mete-Juulsen and Brook . Zadorov will lay anyone out who tries riding rough shot on our youth prospects creating space for them to move .

6'5 230 pounds of wrecking machine is just what the doctor ordered , throw in a could good picks and i'd move Gallagher just because i know our Current Core is changing and that means Gallagher to as no one's untradable especially when their value's at a Career high and MTL has Prospects looking for roster spots and could use the picks to re-stock their development system after the fact.
