Yeah like two pending UFA's net that kind of return, Ottawa's 1st round pick i wouldn't move. Let alone adding Jost to the deal.

I think Colorado would win the Cup this year, with those two. But I'm mostly just a Caps fan puzzling out what it would take to get Pageau and Lajoie.

You're suggesting that the Caps trade away a solid potential top four defenseman in Djoos on top of Burakovsky for a center we don't need that's been out for months, and a defenseman that Ottawa won't move? Where do you come up with this stuff?

Interesting point about Lajoie and Djoos each being too valuable to ever trade. I'm not sure which side says no?

They both have lots of potential, but Lajoie, being healthy, is more helpful in this year's playoffs, which the Caps have better odds of making, right now. I'm not convinced Burakovsky isn't playing through an injuy, himself, and Pageau fits better in a bottom six role.
