20192020 DRW

Team: 2019-20 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 11, 2019

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Howard traded at 2019 TDL - Resigns in the off season.

Toronto gets their RHD at minimal cost after the rest the league decides it doesn't want to help out Toronto, knowing full well this may be the best shot.

Green has a stretch of good health finally, and shows that this team has some skill, but needs defensive help (2018/2019 is a prime example), and gets Karlsson to sign as an FA.

Ericsson gets sent to GR for his final season, which may spur a conditional pick trade, or he bounces up and down between GR and DET.

Since they don't get to the top of the cap, DET just eats the salary of Zetterberg for the year, and puts Franzen on regular IR (freeing up the roster spot, Franzen's deal expires in 2020 anyway).

Daley (rental), Ericsson (rental), Helm (1 year remaining), and Green (rental) all available at the deadline if DET is not in the race. Sulak first dman callup,

Can’t see Karlsson wanting to not contend for a bit. Like the forward core but Veleno is going to get lowballed on the ELC?

Why would Tampa want Howard? They already have plenty of Goaltending talent

Couldn't remember the going rate for his draft spot on an ELC. I just looked it up and the guy drafted after him got 925k, but I think I gave him the same number as McIsaac. Not that it matters much, it doesn't affect the cap.

Vas keeps getting hurt, so do you want to solidify your backup spot, or roll the dice with Domingue? To me, I'd solidify my backup spot, let him play 10-12 games to close out the season and rest Vas a little bit, and ensure that my competition (TOR mainly) doesn't get him.

Have you watched Domingue this season or just looked at numbers? He's played way better than his numbers say and Vasy only has been out that one time because of a injury so I wouldn't really call it "keeps getting hurt"
