This would be very intriguing. I'll leave it to Chicago fans to comment on value...but this would be a strong move for Buffalo

Tough to imagine the Hawks moving him
Seems like PK88 would be more likely
And will probably age better than Toews too

The value of the player is appropriate but for Chicago to trade one of the faces of the franchise, it would not be worth it for them and I don’t think he would waive his NMC.

Toews is the equivalent to Zetterberg for the Blackhawks In terms of how they value him to the organization and how they would handle his trade rumors.

Toews only goes if he wants to go.

Chicago already has some nice young pieces on the farm and on the team like Strome, Debrincat, Sikira , And if they pick top 5 they’ll be in the running for a guy like Hughes or even Illinois native Alex Turcotte who is going to nearby Wisconsin. It’d be nice for them to have a guy like Toews to learn from

The other issue is the contract, there is no way we afford his deal over 4-5 years with Dahlins entry level, Skinner, and Reinhart over the next couple years.
