you want to put a guy with 3 even strength goals on the year on the LW of the 3rd line. No thanks.

Schenn I think would be fine as a 3C. He historically gets 60% of his starts in the offensive zone, but personally I think some of his best years were when he was a 50/50 split roughly.
Thing is though he will have to play a lot more in his own zone here. Like 60% or so. He's never played that much in his own zone. Maybe he can drive that number up with possession.

I don't have a problem with the price on the trade, but I don't know if the cap next year can handle this.
And they still need to find a better LW.

I highly doubt the Blues take that trade. Jarry is nice but he's not taking anyone to the cup. He's a back up stop gap. Brass is a free agent rental. Not really sure how much value they put in Oleksiak. He's an ok piece to add, but I don't know if they would think the value is there for this trade.

Sabres fan here, so no dog in this fight

I don’t see any way StL would even consider this
Jarry isn’t that great a prospect anymore
Oleksiak doesn’t upgrade their defense really
And Brassard is playing bad & a rental for them

None of these pieces would help StL moving forward,
but Schenn does
So why would they do it?
