Manning is horrible, is overpaid and would probably be detrimental to the Penguins. Oleksiak is far and away the better player.

As for Brassard, sure, he hasn't been great, but he's worth more than a guy who's getting passed around like a blunt at this point.

This makes no sense for Pittsburgh. They are contenders and this deal doesnt help them, it hurts them by quite a bit. Picks dont help

No, they don't NEED to move him. If a deal comes along where they feel it's worth to move on, then they'll make it.

But we aren’t going to take guys who have negative value for a guy that might have only a little value without getting a 1st plus in return. Manning is straight a** and on a horrible contract for a cap strapped pens. Oleksiak and Brass are far far better than spooner and Manning. Plus if the oilers want Brass, you’ll then enter a bidding war with at least Winnipeg if not more other teams driving that little bit of value up. The pens don’t need to move Brass. He’s known to be a playoff performer so the pens could just keep him and hope he picks it up and just let him walk. Or get another 3C from their overstock on dmen and move Brass to the 2nd line LW or 1st line RW where he has played well
