Schenn can get Frederic and a 1st alone, gonna have to add more to entice St.Louis to take on that Backes contract.

He isnt getting a 1st and Frederic from Boston lol

a career 50-60 point centre, who's solid in all three zones, plays physical and provides leadership? & has another season after this one left at a little over $5M so Boston has longer to work out an extension with him? .. seems like that's exactly what Boston would want. and a 1st and top prospect would be the starting point for that. Look what Ryan McDonagh got in a similar situation..

You’d have to retain 2-3m on Backes or get a 3rd party to. But all in all not bad.

STL wants NHL talent, not futures. Boston isn't trading a 1st + Frederic for Schenn

I like scheens game but they won't do that deal and eat backes .

The only thing that makes that trade palatable is the fact Bruins are dumping Backes contract. I think they'd be willing to probably eat $2M of it too.
