I understand the point, and having Connor would be great. However, if we trade a RHD, it’s not going to be in a package that includes another RHD. Also, if we target a scorer...it preferably be a right shot.

The Islanders lose the two best players in the deal and are taking on a cap dump for what return exactly? A late 1st round pick and prospect? No thanks. Pulock is a stud. Want to trade us Trouba for Ladd back?

Fair enough...i didnt realize what Pulock has done this year...Wasnt he almost a nobody last year?

Also for the trade, what are Nelson's thoughts for resigning? If its not good and the Isles want to trade, what D is tradable, Mayfield?

If Trouba is dealt it will be at the 2019 NHL draft not now, No way i see Trouba signing long term with Carolina. It's either home in Detroit or Florida or Tampa. The odds of Trouba in Carolina long term is slim to none.

Ok...I knew of him being a local boy but thought that Boychuk and leddy were your best...Thats fair though. I might rework this trade but dont think Pelech is useful to the Jets(too many LDs starting next year)

Hard no from the Islanders, Pulock and Nelson are far better than the other players in the deal. This trade is illogical from the Isles perspective.
