The Blues aren't going to trade Parayko for parts. You'd need to give up something really good

Untouchable unless it’s a player of similar age and skill. He’s a +10 on a team with a -14 goal differential has played incredible defense against the games best and is really our only puck-mover.

You are going to have to add Bouchard to that deal.

As someone who has dabbled, I can tell you:

Not for that lol.
JP is worthless..
Okay that is a lie but compared to what he was worth at draft day he is. I honestly think if he gets moved, you are looking at a guy like Connor Brown (leafs example b/c that is what I know, also on an aside, the Oilers should try and get him. He'd be cheap and has played with McDavid before. He'd be the best winger on your team and can play both ends well).
Spooner is actually worthless
Bear has some value, but like a mid to late 2nd at best.
IDK who Hebig is so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
the pick is valuable I will give you that
a 2nd is a 2nd.

When the Leafs would offer liljegren as a starter for Parayko plus picks and NHL players, you'll need to up the offer.

IF he becomes available, expect a huge bidding war. That being said, STL would be ****ing stupid to make him available.

If Bouchard isn't being part of the deal than you need to look elsewhere. Only other option is Draisaitl straight up, but even that is questionable at this point.

Draisaitl is the 12th leading scorer in the league right now, 2.5 years younger than Parayko and signed for another 6.5 years. His value is way, way higher than Parayko's.

Doing this one-for-one would be another Hall-for-Larsson trade, but worse.

Draisaitl is putting those numbers up playing with McDavid. Maroon put up 27 goals playing with him and Maroon is relatively useless elsewhere. This would be more like the Seth Jones for Johannsen deal which works out for both teams.

No. Draisaitl is better than Johansen, Jones is better than Parayko. And if you think Maroon is in any way comparable to Draisaitl then I have nothing more to say.

Draisaitl is on pace for 98 points. He is way better than Parayko.

First, i'm not saying Maroon is anywhere close to comparable to Draisaitl. I'm saying Maroon was even flirting with 30 goals while playing with him. Draisaitl playing with McDavid is dominant. Draisaitl playing without McDavid is probably a 60 point center. the last couple years over 50% of his points came when McDavid was involved in some way (primary/secondary assists, goals). He's a good center on his own, but not close to a 90 point guy normally. I'll say this, I'd even be okay adding a second round pick or lower high end draft pick. But without Bouchard or Drasaitl coming back, Parayko doesn't get dealt to Edmonton.
