I think the value is there but MTL needs to take the long road, this is another short cut that just sets the team further back

Its been proven that deadline trades will not improve the Habs. Its best for the Habs to DRAFT their defensemen just like they did with their centres (Kotkaniemi, Poehling, Olofsson...) Unlike the Bolts, Habs are not in a position to give up young assets.

Lindholm is a 25 years old no 1 left D entering his prime. No shortcut here. The habs have great Young depth at center and great right D prospects. They Need a solid left D, and it will take years to draft and develop one

He is 25 and very good but we need guys hitting thier prime 4-5 years from now. He could lead that group but your giving up two pieces that could be big parts of that group.
