Many would argue that Mike Smith is better than Craig Anderson. Most would argue that Jake Gardiner is better than Cody Ceci.

I don't see the islanders trading Wahlstrom and a first round pick for Duchene but you never know with Lou. I think a 2019 first, bellows and another prospect for Duchene would be fair. Also Anton Lundell could spring up the draft board for the 2020 draft as he excelled as a 17 year old at the WJC with Finland

Anderson has been average to above average for most of his career. Smith has been Average to below average.

Also at this point in their careers Andy is way better.

Whalstrom and the 1st would not be enough for a 1C player in his prime.

When he is only a rental it's an overpayment. I have never seen that much future given up for 2 months of a player

I'd give up Duchene for one of Dobson/Wahlstrom and a 2019 first.

Duchene would be the 2C on the Islanders. I’d give up the 1st and Wahlstrom only with an extension

id take dobson over whalstrom, OTT needs RD badly more than Forwards, some more picks would be needed tho, most likely conditional on if Duch signs.
