no no no no no no no.. i am not trading sergachev for a 30 yr old rental forward... if anything id look at provorov to start and the callahan trade is a no go from me, yes callys contract isnt good but id rather retain and give up a pick rather than giving up raddysh who can slot into the top 9 next season and will be needed for the future

trade sergachev just so you can play daniel walcott. callaghan is smart enough to not to have teams with cap space on his trade list, and certainly not montreal.

Yup, don’t think caplahan waives for the Habs.

He could. Montrel really need a right hand winger.

Better chance to win the cup with Simmonds than Callahan. And next year they have to provide cap room for Point.

Stupid for Tampa to do that Flyers trade. If you need the space it’s better to trade Miller, Palat or Johnson IMO but even if you want to trade Sergachev, no reason to only get Simmonds

The cap space comes with the Montreal deal.

My bad, I thought Sergachev had 1 year left and you wanted to trade him because he would get a decently sized contract. He has two years so that’s even more of a reason not to do it

Callahan is not waiving for that trade. I could see Arizona making the trade after the playoffs knowing he is going to retire and take the cap hit for some package. But that would only be if the Lightning win the cup. I don't think the Lightning need to / should make any large trades this year unless another team seriously loads up. But the Lightning need Sergachev's low cap hit next year and can find a way to get him some money after Callahan's contract comes off.

Exactly, barring injuries you keep the team together this year. I don't understand all these trades looking to add scoring power, we have 4 lines that can put the puck in the net
. We remain under the cap and after the season it is time to deal with that.

Sergachev vs Simmonds??? This is a bad trade for the Bolts. It'll be essentially Drouin for Simmonds which means its a trade for a downgraded winger.

It is all about winning the cup this year for the Bolt. The window is widely open for that. Simmonds has grit and size and Tampa has a lot of small and tiny players.

If simmons size means so much, why haven't the Flyers being in the Cup finals more often.

miller and gourde are probable trade candidates after the season.

I am not huge fan of Sergachev.. too many own zone mistakes... but even I wouldn't do this trade. Simmonds would add toughness for playoffs .. maybe the ONLY add needed for Cup.
