That's a relief. Now subtract Jay Beagle's salary, and adjust for inflation, to get Vrana's actual value.... unless Vrana becomes a top ten faceoff guy who chips in on both special teams and has 200 career points, in what's left of this season. I'm not putting anything past him, of course. smile

Can Burakovsky for Goldobin wait until after the playoffs?

I like signing MJ back at 2.5. That's reasonable.

What does Jay Beagle have to do with anything? Vrána is comperable to Elias Lindholm circa last summer, hence the long term extension for the young RFA.

Lindholm last year was about as good as Beagle on faceoffs, and played on the Hurricanes' 2nd PK unit. Beagle, of course, plays on Vancouver's top PK unit, but as he's declining, that's now unwarranted. I think he and Elias Lindholm are equally good defensive centers. Also, Lindholm by last summer had 200 NHL points. Vrana has 59, plus a half dozen in the playoffs. So no.
