Oilers want their youth to "Over-ripen" in the AHL so I don't expect to see a lot of prospects in next years lineup.
The reason the defense stays almost the same is basically Chia's doing. Can't move most of them and the ones we can move we shouldn't.
If you don't think the trades are fair or too far fetched please tell me what you think should be changed.
Rumor is Starrett will be given backup after Talbs is gone. Don't expect him to be a regular backup but they want to give him a shot, if he fails they can trade for a backup later in the season.
Assuming they'll want to age Bouchard until he's a fine wine in the AHL II think he'll definitely play NHL games but not for the whole season. Or even half.
I think the Tanev and Larsson trade does benefit the Canucks but Larsson is struggling and we could use Tanev's hockey IQ
Anything else that can really be done? I don't think anyone is interested in Sekera or Russell. Klef and Nurse probably wont go anywhere unless packaged in some blockbuster trade. Still not a lot of depth. Rip eh?
