No on both. Getzlaaf is still one of the top Centers in the league. Minus the ducks struggles, I wouldnt trade him for Hamilton at all.

I love Getz too..... but if the Ducks do go into a "reset" mode, would he ever consider waiving the NMC. I'd think to do it he and CP would need to go together. But then the struggle is who can take on the $ (Car/MTL?). I'd never suggest that DH is on par with Getz, but to get out from BOTH contracts, at best they get 1 NHL'er and some picks.

But DH does allow them to deal with TML a RHD and get a Kapenen / Nylander type - so essentially you trade Getz / Perry $ / RHD; get Nylander / younger front line DEF / picks?
