Pretty balanced trade. Not sure if Detroit would be thrilled with taking Ritchie or Nichushkin back even with the added value of Gurianov. Their main need is on the back end but the 1st probably does it.

That's a pretty good return for Detroit.

Brassard is a better player than faska, but faska is younger and signed for more term so its a fair trade, maybe pit adds a 2nd or something. I’d be pumped if pens got faska he’s a true 3C

Brassard as a rental in the midst of a dismal season is not worth Faksa with term. Pitt would need to sweeten the deal. That’s an extremely rich return for Nyquist. The Stars need depth scoring, not Hagelin who almost never scores. I think Hayes makes a ton more sense if Dallas is looking at making a splash

Dallas loses both of those trades. All Detroit is asking for is a 1st. A 1st and Ritchie will get it done. Adding Nichushkin and Gurianov is insane. Also Faksa is I believe 7 years younger and is only on a rise while Brassard is on the decline but still productive.

To Dallas

Gustav Nyquist

To Detroit

1st round 2019
Brett Ritchie

To Pittsburgh

Mattias Janmark
Conditional 4th - if Brassard re-signs it becomes a 3rd

To Dallas

Derrick Brassard

Ritchie is still young and can be good. Unfortunately it won’t be with Dallas and his contract doesn’t suck. Nichushkin has been good but just hasn’t been able to finish. Those 2 for sure have value still but not too much

Nich has been so bad. They need the cap space so they drop him and he prob goes to the khl. Ritchie is for roster space and more cap.
