I get trying to avoid a rebuild but you can't trade a possible 1st overall pick for Dougie.

This is if we lose the lottery and pick 4th or 5th overall. If we are 1st or 2nd overall, we keep the pick.

Yes the top five in the draft will be good scoring forwards. Yes Carolina needs scoring forwards... but so does NJD...
