If we went on a playoff run, we wouldn't do the 2nd or 3rd trade. Hudon has proven he can hang with the 3rd line incase of injuries and Peca is very good for the PK on the 4th line, Fehr wouldn't provide anything more than Hudon.

Actually, Weise being in the Minors at the moment, this move would be great for them as they keep the same length of contract duration whilst saving $200,000 off the salary cap. Both players are currently in the AHL. It's a defensive depth option over a forward they have given up on.

The Hudon for Fehr + 6th is a good trade in that it gives MTL a draft pick. The team has given up on Hudon. As for Fehr, I wouldn't expect him to play that much, if at all, since guys like Agostino are doing better.
