Ottawa says no, maybe with a 1st it’s closer but I’m sure they would rather move dzingel anywhere else.

You can have Ward for a 3rd coming back and keep Hutchinson, we have no need for him.

And the OTT trade is pretty far off and a waste of spend if Dzingel is only playing 4th line minutes.

I tinkered with the idea of a 1st, but a ready to play D, offensive LW, and a 1st may be more fair, then OTT sends a 4th or 5th back

The hutch part is just to clear the contract, and allows CHI to still have 2 (kind of) NHL goalies
Others seem to think The Dzingel deal is close. He is slotted as 4LW above, but he can move up to 2LW / 3LW; and if there is an injury to the top 9 he is a plug and play F. in addition gives the TML an additional PK F

I'd have a heart attack if the Leafs got Ward. I wouldn't give up a 7th round pick for him even at half retained.
Gardiner also isn't going anywhere. If the Leafs go after Muzzin it'll be with prospects and picks. Makes no sense for LA to take Gardiner and flip him when they can get more not taking him

Lol. Ward ain't worth a 3rd. He's one of the worst goalies in the league.

You obviously haven't watched him play to say that and are just looking at simple SV% and GAA like a typical fan would. Try looking at percentage of high danger shots he's faced...start there and the picture gets a little more clear. Hawks fans have been pretty impressed with him overall and we sure have had a nice run of really good goalies over the last 10+ years.

Not to mention, he's a better option then anyone else on TOR backing up Andersen.

try looking at the types of goals he lets in. They're incredibly soft. He's barely an NHL backup anymore. The only reason he gets any playing time in Chicago is cause Crawford can't stay healthy. Ward's time is over. He had 1 good playoff run in his rookie year. That's it. Stop overvaluing your players like you always do. Typical Blackhawks fan.

I've watched EVERY SINGLE GAME he's played this year and certainly can tell the difference between a soft goal. You don't know what you're talking about as usual. Blackhawks goalies face more shots then basically every team in the NHL and they also face more high danger shots then any team in the league. Again, you're so predictable with your responses if the trade doesn't blatantly favor your team. You clearly don't know hockey all that well to not think Ward as a backup in for a team in a playoff run isn't worth a 3rd or 4th round pick; good luck with Sparks.
