Imagine if Peter Chiarelli and the oilers would look like without him as gm

This team would of had oretty damn great defence core, and a outstanding forward core, but the goalies, could of used some work, unless they did well, cause look at the players infront of them..

Doubt he would have drafted Barzal there, but they may have gone with Boeser or Juulson

Its been said that they were looking at Ericsson Ek at 16 not Barzal. Plus they were also looking at McDonogh for the Puljujarvi pick. That deal goes through they never make the Larson trade.

Like when you think about it. The oilers could of been a legitimate cup contenders... if we only traded Barzel for a elite goaltender... the down side is what would the cap situation be like...

Wasn't peter chiarelli looking to trade that 4th overall pick? Or he wasn't hired i believe

Boeser was soppose to be a late 1st round pick, so i didn't see the oilers drafting out of order... so i highly doubt that they draft either eriksoon elk, or barzel

I would assume they would draft for need, and with McDavid, Draisaitl and RNH, they would have little use for Barzal or Eriksson Ek so that leaves Juulson

They would probably take a winger if they needed a winger and Barzal wasnt what he is now, teams had Eriksson Ek above him. Hindsight is 20/20. Why would you think they would take a left shot center and turn him into a RWer
