Description
Couple of Notes:

1. I didn't predict any trades (other than the Weise one) since they are impossible to accurately predict given all the moving pieces and the multiple teams involved, but I do think the team will make several trades at the deadline and in the summer, though nothing of huge significance (i.e. the core isn't going anywhere, no matter how much the fans stupidly whine about it).

2. I could see them signing a 2nd/3rd pairing d-man and trading a guy like Morin or Hagg in order to shore up their D a bit, however I predict that Provorov and Ghost will bounce back in the second half of this year, which coupled with Sanheim's progression would make a move like that unnecessary.

3. I think it's relatively likely that they will go into next season with a veteran goalie behind Hart, and not Stolarz. The guy that makes the most sense to me there would be Cam Talbot, who has shown in the past that he can be effective if pressed into duty.

4. As you can see, I left tons of cap-room necessary to make the moves I mention in Notes #2 and #3.

5. I don't think signing Panarin is a pipe-dream. Reporters (Dreger, McKenzie, Friedman, etc.) have repeatedly mentioned how close the Flyers came to acquiring him at last year's draft, and Fletcher has a mandate from ownership to be aggressive. I think there is a very decent chance one of the big name FAs ends up in Orange and Black next season, and given the prior connection I think it will be Panarin.

6. Lastly, before anyone tears my head off about what I re-signed the RFAs for, as you can see there is cap-room leftover to give them bigger salaries if you think they wouldn't sign for what I indicated here. I do, however, think that the numbers here are going to be roughly in the ballpark of what they end up getting.

Additional Details:
I think Weise gets dealt before the 2018-2019 Trade Deadline. Regardless of where he goes/what they receive in return, he won't be in the picture by the off-season.

If Panarin is going to be that pricey, I think we go for Stone or someone slightly cheaper...around the $8.5-$9.5 range

Stone is a RW, looks like Flyers need a LW.

Dreger mentioned today that his camp is probably looking for a 7 year $11M AV deal. Pricey, but I think worth it. Advanced metrics point to Panarin as being a truly elite player, and as the cap rises (particularly with the new TV deal coming in a few years) that deal won't be seen as being that insane in a few years.

Laughton is a LWer and Giroux plays LW when needed. If Frost is ready next year, he likely becomes our 3C. So that leaves G, JVR, Lindblom and Laugton down LW.

We will lose a RW when Simmonds is gone. Assuming Morgan Frost makes the team, he could slot as a LW. Or you simply move Giroux back to LW for the top line which bumps JVR and Lindblom down.
