You won't get that out of him as a rental in Hayes. Either way less or a contract extension is in agreement. Otherwise Winnipeg says you are out of your mind.

I think you missing the fact that Pionk is included in the deal. Hayes alone will get a 1st + so it may be safe to assume that Pionk (RFA) and Hayes together can return something like that.

you arent getting Bowers and a 60th overall pick range for Namestnikov and a Dman on a bad contract who passed through waivers that no one wanted.

Pionk has some of the worst Defesnive metrics in the NHL. He doesnt hold some major value. A replacement 3rd pairing guy who can chip in offensively. Hes not a 2nd pairing guy, or not good enough defensively to be in the Top 4

that wpg trade is bad for rangers considering Pionk is also involved. hayes with retained will be able to garner roslovic and a 1st himself

Hayes wouldn't even get a 1st being he is a rental. Pionk is okay, but not worth 1st 3rd Roslovic. Pionk is worth Roslovic and a 4th Hayes as a rental is worth 2nd/3rd

Honestly don't even like Roslovic - he's underperforming as a 22 year old. Would be more interested in Vesalainen

Fair on the Avs trade. But I do think Vladdy could be useful on the Avs and could fit in similarly to what he did in Tampa when he played on the top line. This would allow COL to even out their top two lines a little more.

Regarding Pionk, he's a cost controlled right handed defenseman. I don't think the Rangers trade him but I want them to for the reasons you pointed out. Although those obvious deficiencies, I do think he could bring back a lot. I can see WNP being a landing spot for him for this playoff run and on since they most likely will lose Myers and Trouba (both right handed defenseman).
