Anaheim isn’t trading a 2nd, that will probably be a high one, for 3 4th round picks. Makes no sense

Nobody is paying a 1st for brass, let alone a 7th dman and an nhl back up at best, blues need A demko, sorokin, samsanov potential goalie. Jarry conparbale to Calvin Pickard, Jonathan Bernier at best .

Pickard and Bernier (your comps to Jarry) are light years better than Allen. If Jarry becomes one of those two guys, the Blues are better for that trade. The part I don't like is having to try and flip Brassard. I'm not sure he yields a 1st round pick.

not sure why for the ducks trade, especially since the one pick from buffalo is conditional and could be a 3rd(I forget the conditions but it was part of sheary deal). So just cross that trade out entirely.

The other one is the blockbuster, I think its actually pretty fair value wise. But idk if the blues would want to get those players and then have to flip them themselves or if they would prefer the pens to do the trades first and then just include those picks. The other problem it has, it takes away most of the assets and doesn't leave cap space either so it would be hard to acquire another center if needed since Blueger is unproven.

Jarry was a top goalie prospect at one time but got passed up by Murray. He is still a solid prospect but not quite as highly thought of. As for Brassard, idk if he for sure nets a first round pick or not, if he is flipped for just one pick I would say a first but might end up a bit lower of a pick and some prospect.

I think a better idea would be a three-way trade with Pittsburgh-Winnipeg-St. Louis:

St. Louis acquires Jarry; Sam Militec; Pittsburgh 2020 1st; Winnipeg 2020 1st
Winnipeg acquires Brassard
Pittsburgh acquires Schenn (St. Louis retains $1.5 million since Schenn is about $2 million more expensive and Pittsburgh is tight with cap space and Militec is included due to the Blues eating salary.)

I just put that in there as an example trade for moving up in the draft like we did this year

I figure if this is a deadline deal they’d have a flip in place already. Several teams have been asking about brass
