You're gonna have to pay a lot more than 9 to get Panarin to sign in Montreal long term

Every team should ask about him but he wouldn’t sign in montreal . He’s going to a big market or to a tropical climate by all accounts

Montreal is not going to trade for Panarin. I could see them inquiring about him in FA, but they are not looking for a rental.

I wouldn't count them out, he was actually going to sign with them in 2016

First off, Panarin isn't going to sign an extension mid season. Second off, we are not giving up those assets for someone who isn't going to sign an extension.

First off, you are not Panarin nor his agent. Second off they have enough C prospects so Olofsson becomes somewhat expendable, Tatars value is the highest it will ever be and two second rounders a third and a fourth is nit much to give up for an Elite player like Panarin.

I don't have to be Panarin or his agent. As we are all well aware, his agent has publicly stated that they are not interested in talking about a contract WITH ANY TEAM until the season is over. Habs aren't going to do this trade.

For the right amount of money and bonuses he might, you never know. His agent did not say ANY team he said the Colombus Blue Jackets we have no idea if he might want to sign an extension in a different city or not, after all this is a mock trade.

Yeah I believe at the time CHI, MTL and CGY were the finalists for him. That said, look who he chose to sign with, the biggest market

That's a pretty crappy offer if he has a signed extension.

A 60 point/20 goal scorer an A chipper prospect 2 second rounders a third and fourth doesn't do it for a guy otherwise heading straight to Free Agency? IDK seems fair to me

You said he comes with a signed extension, that doesn’t do it for 8+ years of panarin

Just keep the assets, if he have free cap space, sign a player that actually wants to play in Montreal. If it's Panarin great (though it won't be) then you have those young assets plus the newly found UFA.
