Panarin agreeing to an extension is probably a 1% chance as it pertains to the trade value

First off if Panrin is dealt, It's to a playoff team. Which pretty much leaves out Chicago, Florida and Edmonton as possible suitors.

Then why did he sign an 8 year deal?

He signed it before the issues.

Dallas Stars’ ownership publicly calls out Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn: ‘They are f*cking horse-sh*t’ on December 22,2018

Seguin signed his extension on Sep, 13, 2018

I know that, But still if he's dealt it's to a playoff team. And as of now Chicago, Florida and Edmonton are out of the playoff race. Though things could change for Edmonton and Florida. Doubt Chicago has any chance.

You do not get 8 years of seguin for 1 year of panarin. If they reach a deal then it is good on them, a conditional pick at best.

I would think that the two Jones brothers would do well on a D pair in the future, and for Jesse P he has a nice frame and can snipe, Ill give him a year or two before he's a Top 6 starter.

He is a pure rental. He's not signing an extension with the team that trades for him. July 1st is when he finally hits UFA, then HE chooses!!!

lol if Huberdeau was part of this trade then you wouldn’t be getting a 1st rounder on top of him. Anyways he isn’t available and Cats will sign Panarin in the off season

To reiterate this.... once again... you can not trade rights you don’t have. Teams... especially ones in the playoffs do not let their players negotiate with other teams and then when it doesn’t work out say “hey it’s okay we wanted you here all along anyway”. Trading panarin with an extension in place for a new team is like trading him with a magical unicorn.... sure it would increase his value but it usn’t going To happen.

These are all ridiculous. First off it was reported he would like to play for a florida or new york team. That takes out almost all of those trades because he's not going to 'all of a sudden' agree to an extension with a random team so close to free agency. It would be like me making trade proposals with Stone signing an extension. It's just not realistic.
And that Dallas trade is absurd
