Maybe.. idk 18 goals, great pk guy making 1.8mill for 2 years after this one. He's great value and imo one of the most underrated players in the league.

Dallas has a thin prospect pool as it is, and we're giving away two of our top prospects (one of whom is already seeing NHL time) for another guy who is under contract until he is 34? Backlund has cracked 50 points once in his career. He's not a top-6 scorer, he's a depth Center...which the Stars have plenty of. If the Stars are going to trade two of their better prospects, it's going to be for a legitimate top-6 scorer. This deal doesn't benefit the Stars at all, and it hurts the future of the franchise.
