Bruins aren't trading their next two first round picks.

No way Backes waives for Ottawa and why trade him just to retain half the cap hit for 3 years?.

That doesn't get you Schenn.

Dzingel doesn't play center.

This is a total miss.

Am I missing anything?

LMAO try Vaakanainen+ now otherwise blues say no because you insulted them. That doesn't even get you Bozak much less Schenn we aren't taking a Krejci overpayment either.

That Blues trade is atrocious. This is coming from a B's fan.

Backes declines

Krug declines

Krejci declines

Blues decline

And now you have only about 12-13m to sign CMac, Carlo, JFK, Cehlarik, Donato and the replacements for Chara, Acciari, and Kampfer in the offseason,

Nice team though. But its not NHL19. Better chance of winning the Powerball than this happening.

um... what are you talking about? Krejci has 40pts and 10 goals. Schenn has 27pts & 9 goals. Not that you will be in the playoffs, but Krejci has led the playoffs in scoring twice.
Career PPG Schenn: .62ppg
Career PPG Krejci: .74ppg

Schenn has 14 career points. Krejci had 10 last year.

*playoff points.

It's really not, if they want to stay competitive. Doesn't work if they are rebuilding.

I really don't understand the disrespect Krejci gets. He has average 60pts per 82 over his career. which happens to also be what he has average over his last 4 seasons. So pretty consistently going to put up 55-60pts a year. He has also not played with any too spectacular. Debrusk has been good over the last 1.5 years, but he had absolute garbage for wingers in the previous 2+

A) 2m was retained.
B) He kind of is. His numbers are right there with Johanson, Statsny, Turris.
C) If he is overpaid, it's by 1m or less.

I have done this so many times, but his contract is not that bad. It really isn't. As Bruins fans we are jaded by the deals 37, 63 and 88 are on.

Last four seasons:
Johanson 8m - .75 ppg - 291 gp (Forsberg)
Krejci 7.25m - .74 ppg - 269 gp (Debrusk)
Turris 6m - .64 ppg - 241 gp (Arvidsson)
Stastny 7m - .68 ppg 234 gp (Taresenko)
Zbinejad 5.3m .71 ppg 259 gp (Kreider)
Toews 10m - .78 ppg - 277 gp (Kane, debrincat)
Pavelski 8m - .86ppg 297 gp (coture, kane, marleau)

Yes, there are guys who are on better deals, but I don't really hear anyone saying anything about the other contracts listed as a huge overpayment (maybe Toews)
Plus I left out guys like Stepan 6.5m, Brassard 6m, Spezza 7.25m

Point is if Krejci at 7.25m is your bad contract, you are in great shape. Then you take into account his playoff performances.

Johansen: $186,047
Eichel: $188,679
Malkin: $172,727
McDavid: $171,233
Toews: $218,750
Getzlaf: $250,000
Stepan: $282,609
Kopitar: $294,118
Stastny: $361,111
Tavares: $203,704

I’d rather just keep Krejci for the playoffs then...

Me too. I would like Schenn, but not for Krejci and certainly not if you flip the salaries for the next two years.
