I'm a huge fan of Barkov so I may be biased here but Toronto would have to add. Ekblad is still young enough that his value is really high as a top pairing player, him and Barkov together is closer to a Mathews Kapanen value.

Florida trade I would say its fair. Edm not sure if they give away young player for garnder that is a UFA and Zaistev. The bigger question is where is Marner money going to come from??

See that's the other half of it isnt it. Mathews has to be signed, Kapanen has to be signed and you have to find another top pairing dman. One of the biggest values in this trade is Toronto getting two cost controlled assets.
