Description
Need to tank, if the fans don't like it, move them to Quebec. MTL realizes the futility of Subban's contract (sorry MTL homers) and trade him for a 30 goal scorer, an experienced dman, and a competent backup. They also save a little money to go out and get a Goligoski or Demers or Campbell. If anyone is worried about selling a tanking canes, PK can sell, especially in Raleigh. A Staal buyout would cost them 2 mill a season. So they save a little money dealing him to Buffalo for some pieces that make the team competitive if they are on their game and 2 solid NHL ready prospects. Wisniewski and McClement are deadline deals can be any playoff team. Give the rebuild 2 to 3 years. The d will be ready sooner than later, the forwards will have to come along.

Actually the Canes area team on the rise. Young team, lots of draft picks and prospects and lots of cap space if they want to go big UFA. Let's stop silly tank talk. The way they fill their building is to win, not to give their fans (a small fan base) a absolutely crappy team.
Can't imagine why the Pens and Caps would want those trades. Teams can only retain 3 salaries at one time.

Read the description, said it could be any playoff team.no good UFA wants to sign here Andrey are very weak in the forward prospect pool and only have 3 top 4 defenders in the system including Faulk. They're not on the rise, Buffalo is on the rise, Toronto is. Carolina will be the team that almost gets into the playoffs every year but doesn't have enough.

I promise I'm a decent guy, but I am passionate about my team, and that is the only reason I must put this pessimistic inaccurate view Carolina to shame.

First of all, Carolina is on the rise, we need forwards and goaltending, like Jeff Skinner and Eddie Lack if he can improve a bit (I am laughing at the fact you have Nedeljkovic backing up Johnson, that would hinder Nedeljkovic's development completely, he needs time in the minors as a starter..) , furthermore we have no legitimate need for Subban, we do not need to tank considering we have an abundance of picks. You say we don't have forward prospects... I guess you haven't heard of: Aho, Tolchinsky, DiGi, Roy, McGinn, E Karlsson, Wallmark, or any of the forwards that come out of the next draft. Not to mention Lindholm, Rask, and possibly Nestrasil who have yet to hit their full potential. Have you considered trading D-prospects for forward talent? Toronto has a lot of good forward prospects, but I believe Carolina is closer to the playoffs. Trading Jordan Staal is ridiculous and thinking about buying him out is one of the worst GM ideas I have ever heard. Telling us to just accept we are a dying market is just so negative, it's so obvious you are from Montreal or are a fan based on your view of Carolina. We haven't made the playoffs in 7 years, I know. This year is likely the year we make it, I haven't ever said that since 2009. Just don't assume a market is dead because Quebecors tell you so, yes our owner is going to sell but has said "NOT TO ANYONE WHO WILL MOVE THE TEAM". We have a fanbase here in Raleigh, you don't see it because it shows up when we win. It's how the market works.

With that I bid you ado.
